For those of you you follow my Facebook page, you've heard/seen me go on about my trip into Ice Lakes Basin a few weeks back, and have likely already seen these pics. If you don't follow that page, then hopefully you'll enjoy your first exposure to these photos! Anway, I finally got them up into the landscape gallery for your viewing pleasure, and they're also available for purchase if you'd like to see them hanging on your wall!
The images immediately above and below (and to the left) this text were taken in the lower basin, near where we camped. This was an immensely beautiful area; as you can see, very green and lush. There's a lot of water up in this basin, and we were surrounded by the roar of waterfalls, as there are so many pouring down from the lakes/ponds up in the upper basin. It had also been raining in the days leading up to our trip, and even rained off and on our first full day up there. Thus, the foliage was not hurting for moisture.
The two black & white images at the bottom of this post were taken in the upper basin, where we explored on our second full day. Up there were less waterfalls (though still a couple!), but more ponds/lakes. In fact, Upper Ice Lake is one of the bluest lakes I've ever seen! It was so cool. I hope to get some shots of the creeks, lakes, etc. added sometime in the near future. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy these landscape shots, which do still include some of that beautiful water scenery.
